Inventor Steven J. Derrah invented the most helpful part of the snowboard the Binding. Without the binding it wouldn't been a huge hit in the sports industry. The Binding makes riding a snowboard incredibly safer for use and more people were able to ride snowboards due to the control they had on the snowboard from the Binding. Easily adaptable and changed the Snowboard forever. Patented on December 25, 1990









Another Inventor that had a big impact on the Snowboard is Chad S. Campton the inventor of the Stomp pad. The Stomp pad is a removable pad you put on the board to ease the process of learning to control a snowboard without being binded. The Stomp pad has made it easy for me and many other when learning how to snowboard. But now of days there are so many different type of stomp pads from little spikes to any other obscure shape.
